Schedule Time To Stand Up!
To be blunt, starting college will hit you over the head like a ton of bricks. Luckily, you strong enough to handle it. This is because you are a Badger, and you were accepted out of thousands of candidates to take on the challenge. When times are tough, you will be able to handle it. BUT, when things are going smoothly, you are taking the time to relax and cashing in on the two weeks you have to finish a paper, that is when things get dangerous.
The two biggest secrets I learned to being effectively proactive with school work is to:
1. Schedule your study time – Throw it in your planner, your calendar app, or have Siri remind you. Whats important is you commit to that chunk of time like it was the first date with your soul mate. No rescheduling… Sorry!
2. Stand up! – When you are deepest in your slouch on the futon, that is the exact moment to stand up and move. Not only will it motivate you to start studying, but you will be able to study more effectively.
Engage your body and your planner, and you are well on your way to staying on top of your first semester on campus!
