A Handful of Friends Helps the Studying Go Down

It is no secret that you have found yourself on a college campus that prides itself on intelligent students and a high level of academics. Along with that prestigious reputation, however, comes challenging classes and an overwhelming workload. If you are not careful, you can find yourself on the slippery slope to end of semester stress and many sleepless nights. Lucky for you, one of the best assets to come out on top of the study game is readily available: friends.

Here are three reasons why a friend is the best study tool to have:

1) Motivation- It is easier to want to do just about anything when you have friends that are doing it too. When you make plans to study together, you won’t have to worry about missing out on any fun and can feed off the hard-working attitudes you each bring to the table.

2) Accountability- Even if it isn’t possible to physically study together, friends can easily check in with you to see that you are being productive. Share your study goals for the night with at least one person and ask them to text you in several hours to check on your progress.

3) Understanding- Friends are the people who share your struggles and your joys. When you are all going through the same adventure of college, it is easy to be there for each other when you find yourselves procrastinating or when the efforts you put into your chemistry labs paid off.

So what are you waiting for? Grab a buddy, head to the library, and hit the books because it’s time to ace this semester!
