Hey incoming Freshmen! We are so excited for you all to officially be a Wisconsin Badger!
As an incoming freshman, feeling a part of the university community can be a bit intimidating and a challenge to navigate. But don’t worry because I am going to share three tips that helped me!
The first tip is to find friends. The best way to find friends is to connect with those on your dorm floor. Through them you can meet other friends as well, expanding beyond just students on your dorm floor. It is important to be friendly, open, and yourself! The cool thing about college is that there are a lot of people on campus which means that it should not be a challenge to find people that have similar interests and hobbies as you.
The second tip is to explore all the different organizations and clubs that students can get involved in. If you want to get a head start on that click here! I recommend attending the Fall 2024 Student Organization Fair on September 10th and 11th at the Kohl Center.
My third and final tip is to buy student tickets to attend sporting events. At Wisconsin, we Badgers are passionate about our sports teams. Attending sporting events is a great way to feel like a part of the university community. The atmosphere that the fans, students, and non-students bring to the Badger sporting events is always a blast and good time.

I hope these three tips help and a big congrats on becoming a Wisconsin Badger!
