It can be overwhelming moving from living in a whole house to only having one small room as your living space. Don’t worry though, there are plenty of tips and tricks you can use to make the most out of a small space. Below I will be giving you three tips on how you can organized your dorm to maximize your space!
1.) Loft Your Beds
Lofting your bed gives you so much more space because it allows for more storage under your bed. Even if you just half loft, so much more can be placed under your bed to make your room less cluttered.
2.) Bring a Futon
A futon is a great idea, so many people bring them to college for their dorms. Futons can be placed under your lofted bed, or elsewhere in your room. They allow for an extra sitting space to watch tv, chill, and also provide an extra place to sleep if you ever want to have guests! It is nice to have a place to sit besides your bed.
3.) Bring Closet Organizers
Closet organizers were a huge way I saved space in my dorm. I had so many clothes so I had to find ways to efficiently make them all fit. Collapsable hangers allow you to hang a lot of clothes on one hanger to create more space! Hanging organizers are also effective in making more space!
