It’s the first day of classes and you have an 8am. You were up late the night before reading all your syllabi (or partying getting your last moments of academic freedom) and you end up sleeping through your first alarm. Next thing you know it is 7:30am and you are just now rolling out of bed and you have absolutely no idea what to wear.
When you walk around the campus at UW- Madison on a class day, there are a variety of different outfit that you see women wearing. Some easy styles include…
- The I Woke Up Like This: This is the classic grab and go. On our campus, it often includes a UW- Madison hoodie, a pair of sweatpants and some white shoes.
- The Athleisure Fit: This is my personal go to. A quick and easy black legging and cropped top or sweatshirt ensures that you can look a little more put together but still makes for an easy and quick choice in the morning. This can also be easily layered which is important for if you are going to school in Wisconsin (something I learned that the hard way).
- The Fashionista: This is a great look for if you have a presentation or if you are meeting with your professor and you want to look a bit more put together. A cute skirt and sweater with some boots is the perfect fall look and a great balance between a chic and quick.
- The Skater Girl/ Streetwear Look: This look as become increasingly popular due to Tik Tok and Pinterest. It involves much looser clothing like baggy jeans, an oversized top and Jordan 1’s or Air Forces.
Of course there are people who pick out their outfits the night before and get all dressed up or who wake up 2 hours early everyday to get ready and I applaud them but as someone who values efficiency as well as my sleep, these options are quick and easy guides that I live by just like many other students at UW- Madison!
