Woah Woah Woah! Now don’t jump the gun to think I am talking about a night at the Kollege Klub or The Double U. To you freshman out there reading this right now, I want you to know there is more to Madison than the party scene. So grab that pen and paper and start taking notes as I share with you my favorite place to go at night here in Madison.
You don’t need a car or a bike to get to this place, just some good walking shoes. This place consists of shoreline that runs miles long. It also has the best spot in town to star gaze. Did I mention it has a ton of cool spots to sit and chill with friends while eating the best dessert? So what are you waiting for! Let’s pack those bags and head out to Picnic Point.
Here are a few things that you may want to pack in your bag:
- Marshmallows, chocolate and graham crackers for those s’mores. (If you really want to go all out pack some peanut butter to spread on the s’more… you won’t regret this.)
- A Wisconsin sweatshirt of course because you should always show your Badger pride! But for real, when the sun goes down it can get a little chilly by the lake.
- A speaker to listen and sing along to all those campfire songs you learned growing up.
- Bug spray is a must! Those mosquitoes don’t deserve your blood so make sure you are protected.
