My latest binge-worthy show has been Invincible. Invincible is an animated show that is an Amazon Original, so it is only streaming on Prime Video. If you don’t already have Amazon Prime, get it now. Fast shipping and this show make it well worth it.
Invincible is based off a comic series of the same name, which was first published in 2003. The show follows 17-year-old Mark Grayson, who is a normal boy, except that his father is the most powerful man on Earth. Mark gains powers of his own and his one goal is to be just like his father, Omni-Man.
Except, everything isn’t as it seems. You’ll know what I mean once you watch the first episode!
Invincible is incredibly binge-worthy for a multitude of reasons. I watched the entire season (which is 8 episodes) in one night! There is action, mystery, suspense, romance, humor, and an amazing soundtrack. The show explores a lot of relevant issues to young adults – there is something that everyone can relate to. Mark faces the challenges of high school, but as a super hero, he faces the harsh reality of the horrors of life.
While the show is animated, it is definitely not for kids. Invincible has adult themes, including: mature language, violence, and gore.
Every episode of Invincible is around 45-50 minutes, but it is well worth it. I can assure you that this show isn’t just an Avengers or Justice League rip-off – it is so much more. You’ll be hooked by the story, the humor, the action, the music, and the incredible cast of voice actors! The star-studded cast includes J.K. Simmons, Sandra Oh, Steven Yeun, and more.
