Studying and staying on top of classes is obviously important during your time at college; but taking a break from studying is almost just as important! Your brain needs time to unwind, and you need time to relax.
For me, one of the best ways to relieve stress is by exercising. I love attending Cyc as a study break. Cyc is a fast-paced, high intensity cycling class on University Avenue. Its location is near the libraries and academic buildings, so it’s convenient to stop there if you only have an hour gap between classes!
The environment in Cyc classes is motivating and uplifting. They play upbeat music that makes you want to dance, and you sweat like crazy! Not only are the Cyc classes a good time and good work out, but you leave feeling very positive. Even though you are working hard, the endorphins you release boost your mood, making it a great stress reliever!
The best thing about going to Cyc for a study break rather than to get food or to nap is that you are doing something that is good for your body! Cyc is a great full-body workout, and after just one class you feel accomplished.
Cyc offers classes at a variety of times throughout the day, so you can choose one that works with your busy schedule! They also offer “themed rides”, such as Tropical Tuesday, which is another fun perk. Check out the available classes at http://cycfitness.com.
People don’t always think about working out as a “ break”, and often dread it. But with Cyc, you can effectively relieve stress and look forward to your work out!
