If you’re in the mood for boneless wings there are three places to choose from around campus: Buffalo Wild Wings, Wingstop, or Wings Over Madison. But who are you going to call when it’s wing night? As an avid wing eater and soon-to-be senior, I have had my fair share of wings from these campus area restaurants. Find my review of each of their wings below.
Buffalo Wild Wings – Ol’ reliable. They offer wings in a variety of order sizes and sauces. Some argue that their wings have too much breading, but I say the crunch really adds a nice touch to the savory flavor. You can find me at B-dubs on Thursday’s for $.65 boneless wings.
Wingstop – Located on Regent St. so its a bit of a hike if you want to pick them up, but they also deliver. They don’t offer as many sauces as their competition but they do add a lot of sauce to your wings. If you like your wings saucy, this is the place for you.
Wings Over – Found way down Campus Drive, if you want Wings Over, you have to order delivery. The wings here are basically chicken strips. They are huge. I recommend ordering the Hang Glider which is a 1/2 pound of wings, fries, and a drink for under $10.
If you are going to sit down and eat, I recommend Buffalo Wild Wings because they are closest to the heart of campus and have plenty of seating. If you are feeling lazy and want your wings delivered, I suggest Wings Over because you can get a meal, side and a drink for a good price. Comment your take on each place below. Happy eating!
