When it’s not even 1 o’clock and you’ve already had a day full of class, studying, or exams there is nothing that you look forward to more than a lunch break.
When my days become increasingly full toward the end of the semester and I don’t have the time or the motivation to make myself a meal, I often find myself making a stop at Forage Kitchen on State Street to grab a bite to eat.
Forage Kitchen features different salads, grain bowls, acai bowls and other items that have healthy, locally sourced ingredients. If the items on the menu aren’t exactly what you’re looking for, you also have the option to build-your-own of these items as well. The options that Forage Kitchen has available makes it incredibly easy to customize whatever you’re eating to what you’re craving on any particular day.
When I go to Forage Kitchen, I usually get the “Power Bowl” grain bowl which has black rice, lentils, sweet potatoes, green onions, guacamole and jerk chicken with a goddess dressing on top. I really like this option because it tastes great and fills me up for hours, allowing me to go about my day without the risk of becoming “hangry” just a few hours after lunch.
If you want to find out more about Forage Kitchen, they have a website with their menu and they have a beautiful Instagram page with some of their best things they have to offer.
