College can be stressful at times, and it is always a good idea to take a step away and relax. One way that I like to do this is by binge watching my favorite TV show: It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. You can stream all 14 seasons on Hulu.
It’s Always Sunny is about 5 friends that run a bar in Philadelphia. However, most of the show is not about them tending bar. Instead, you get to watch them do insane and hilarious activities that will make you roll on the floor laughing.
One aspect that makes this show unbelievable is the dynamic between the 5 characters. Dennis, Mac, and Charlie are all friends from high school, and Dee is Dennis’ sister. The last character, Frank, doesn’t enter the show until season 2, and he is Dennis and Dee’s estranged father. Dennis and Mac live together, Charlie and Frank live together, and Dee lives by herself. The characters play off of each other really well, and when someone needs to be made fun of, Dee seems like the person to target.
There is never a dull episode in this show. From start to finish, each episode is unique and jam packed with action. They also take a stance on issues like the housing market, the gas crisis, and other events like these, but add a twist to them to give them comedic relief. You never know what you are going to get in an episode, which keeps you coming back for more. With episodes lasting only about 20 minutes, it is quite easy to wind up watching hours upon hours before you realize!
