A Break From School with a Focus on Yourself

College is a stressful time in a persons life. Freshmen year may be one of not much sleep, poor nutrition, and intense studying. Take time over break and focus inward. Rejuvenate your mind and body. Here are a few suggestions to get you started. 

  1. Catch up on sleep
    • Freshmen year in the dorms it is a guarantee you won’t be getting the best sleep of your life. Over break take some time to sleep. Here is an article with tips for getting an optimal amount of sleep. 
  2. Refuel your body
    • Food is fuel for the human body. Eating a well balanced diet can translate to optimal mental health status. The dining hall may not be stacked with fresh fruit and veggies when you need them the most. Try to staying away from alcohol and focus on getting the proper nutrition your body needs.   3. Rest your mind
